On a gorgeous Italian island legendary rock star Marianne (Tilda Swinton) is enjoying an extended holiday with her boyfriend Paul (A Little Chaos’ Matthias Schoenaerts). She is recovering from an operation on her vocal chords, so when her brash ex-producer Harry (Ralph Fiennes) and his newly-discovered vixenish daughter Penelope (Dakota Johnson) arrive unexpectedly, the interruption is initially a welcome and fun distraction. However as tensions slowly start to rise within the group, things take a more serious turn.

In this loose remake of the 1969 drama La Piscine, director Luca Guadagnino (I Am Love) and his outstanding international cast elegantly explore themes of desire and pleasure to deliver a sensuous tale of frolics, drama and intrigue.
